In the artist’s words:
Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. One of my first memories with music was my mom playing Michael Jackson in the house when I was around three years old. Watching his live performances on our old family computer was the first thing that inspired me to be a performer. It clicked then.
What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Mac Miller, Watching Movies with the Sound Off (Deluxe Edition) Noah Kahan, Cape Elizabeth - EP Zach Bryan, Zach Bryan Each of these projects have single handedly given the most inspiration to the music I make and the sounds that I explore. Each opened my ears to genres I hadn't previously explored and later fell in love with.
Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Downtown Calgary” This song was the first folk song that I ever released, and the first song I could say properly began to change my life. The amount of doors this song opened for me, and how many people I see it impacting every day to this day is purely priceless.
What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? The release of my debut album "SAD BIRDS STILL SING." is still one of the most important moments of my life. Even after putting in countless hours over five years, this still felt like the proper milestone of the first chapter of my career.
Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? Absolutely. I want to sell out my own headline shows at the Wilma and Kettlehouse Amphitheater in Missoula, Montana. Two dream venues of mine in my hometown.
