In the artist’s words:
Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. Kelly Clarkson singing "A Natural Woman" on American Idol. I was immediately obsessed. That's what ultimately lead to Aretha Franklin becoming one of my biggest inspirations, as well as Carol King.
What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? HAIM, Days Are Gone Little Dragon, Nabuma Rubberband Tune-Yards, Nikki Nack All three of these albums are top to bottom, no skips for me. I'll get in modes where I latch onto one of them and exclusively only listen to that one album. They're very much comfort albums for me.

Tell us why you chose this song. “Higher” "Higher" is a defining song for where I am personally, as well as my career. I wrote it with my husband in a pretty dark time when we needed write our way out of the hole we were in. It's the first single off my EP coming out later this year.
What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? Winning the CBS Mornings Mixtape Music Competition. You can hear my voice every morning singing my version of "I Can See Clearly Now". Singing background for Stevie Wonder. It was one song but it didn't matter. I sang with freakin' Stevie Wonder.
Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? One big dream I have is to play The Ryman Auditorium in Nashville, TN and to sing with Chris Stapleton.
