Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. I grew up in East Tennessee, picking out church hymns on an old piano by ear. That sound—raw, soulful, and full of hope—became the heart of my songwriting and everything I do as a storyteller.
What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Adele, 21 Ray LaMontagne, Till the Sun Turns Black (Bonus Track Version) Sleeping At Last, Atlas: Year One I chose these albums because they remind me that honest songwriting, emotional depth, and cinematic sound will always connect people more than perfection or production trends.

Its raw honesty and piano-driven emotion later made it a theme for Days of Our Lives and The Vampire Diaries. Real connection always finds its way home.
What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? Winning a Tony Award was unforgettable, but hearing “I Should Go” connect with millions through The Vampire Diaries showed me how a simple piano ballad can reach hearts around the world.
Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? I’d love to bring my new musical Already Perfect to the West End and record a cinematic singer-songwriter album that bridges my theatre roots with my Adult Alternative sound.
