Life in Film are a British indie pop/jangle rock group who formed in 2010. The band found some initial success in its first year when fashion designers Burberry selected their song "Alleyway" to open their Burberry Acoustic Initiative compilation, which led to a performance at Vogue's Fashion Night Out in September 2010. They self-released their debut single, "The Idiot," in 2011 and by 2012 were signed to Sony, which issued their debut EP, Pins and Needles. They were paired up with producer Stephen Street (the Smiths, Blur) to work on their debut full-length. After a switch to European label Embassy of Music in 2014, they issued a second EP before finally delivering their debut album, Get Closer, in March 2015. ~ Timothy Monger
