Christian singer Lincoln Brewster got his start playing in a band with his mother, and overcame a difficult childhood with an abusive stepfather to eventually become a guitar virtuoso. His skill on the six-string led to a tenure with ex-Journey vocalist Steve Perry, but it was not until Brewster embraced his burgeoning religious beliefs that he found success as a solo artist. Also active as a pastor and youth minister in Nashville, Brewster enjoyed increasing chart success with each album. His 2008 album, TODAY IS THE DAY, hit number two on the Billboard Christian charts, delivering a potent mix of straight ahead pop and 1980s-inspired contemporary rock.
