With an on-trend, electro-influenced sound and heartfelt lyrics that convey the highs and lows of romance, pop and R&B duo Mitraz were always poised for success. That happened for them in 2022 when the pair—formed in the city of Gorakhpur in 2020—broke through into the mainstream with the release of “Akhiyaan”. And having since put out a slew of singles an EP and debut album Zehen, resulting in a steady flow of smashes, singer-songwriters, composers and producers Anmol Ashish and Pratik Singh have proved they’re no one-hit wonders. Their evocative tunes, by turns soothing and invigorating, have made them the go-to soundtrack for countless creators’ short-format video clips. Impressively, Mitraz have converted this online fame into an on-ground fanbase that flocks to their concerts. Simply put, they’re among the most popular young acts to emerge in the early 2020s.
