Mono Inc. are a German act whose amalgam of gothic metal and theatrical alternative rock has made them stars in their home country and parts of Europe. Throughout the 2000s, they slowly built up their profile with a series of well-received indie albums and festival appearances. With the release of 2012's After the War, Mono Inc. broke into the German mainstream and proceeded to send each of their next four albums into the Top Five of the pop charts. By the turn of the next decade they were a well-established commercial and creative force and promptly hit number one with their 11th album, 2020's The Book of Fire. Having reached the top, they stayed there, releasing two more chart-toppers in 2023's Ravenblack and 2025's Darkness.
