Starting in 1999, a group of high school kids with no musical ability tried to write songs. The culmination of 20+ years is what you hear now.

Taking 20 year old concepts and applying all of the changed tastes and technology to them.

Nope. Just to continue to be creative and maintain meaningful relationships.
