Conductor Neil Ferris is a leading figure on the British choral scene. He is the longtime director of The Wimbledon Choral Society, a frequent guest with top orchestras in Britain and beyond, and a significant educator. In 2006, Ferris was named music director of the Cardiff Polyphonic Choir, which he led in broadcasts on the BBC Radio 2, 3, and 4 radio networks and in performances with the BBC National Orchestra and Chorus of Wales. In 2009, he became music director of The Wimbledon Choral Society. He made his recording debut in 2012, leading a performance of Jonathan Dove's choral song cycle The Passing of the Year. Ferris has also served as artistic director of the chamber choir Sonoro. With the Wimbledon Choral Society, he recorded Cecilia McDowall's Da Vinci Requiem in 2023.
