Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Sometimes Melancholy” I wrote this after getting some very bad news and it allowed me to express my grief without needing any words. The lilting 6/8 rhythm and simple minor melody just undulated out from my fingers and calmed my mind. I hope it smooths my listeners too.
What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? As a cancer survivor, I savour every day of my life as if it could be my last. I have had the joy of playing for others in my position. A woman was brought to tears by my playing. she told me that the music helped her contact her own Joy again.
Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? I want to reach more people and help them to have a better quality of life through music, before I die. Cancer has given an opportunity for me to learn the value of of Stillness and of Joy, and how finding one helps uncover the other. Share Joy!
