Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. My mum used to play a lot of Alanah Myles, Michael Jackson, and Boney M, so I grew up surrounded by those classics. But the first CD I ever owned was something very pop and very ‘90s—not exactly the coolest, but it definitely left a mark on me!
What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Hole, Celebrity Skin Marilyn Manson, Mechanical Animals Placebo, Black Market Music Mechanical Animals blew my mind—the whole package was unreal. Celebrity Skin hit just as hard; Courtney Love gave zero f***s. Black Market Music spoke to me with its queerness and raw emotion.
Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “YMATD (feat. Madeleine Wood)” I chose YMATD because it’s a powerful reminder of the trauma I’ve been through. I wrote it at a really low point, and it captures the weight of mental health struggles and the damage they can do. It’s raw, honest, and deeply personal to me.
What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? When Kerrang! first wrote about me and later gave Scorpio 4/5, it felt surreal. Being flown to Tokyo for a performance was unreal—one of those “how did I get here?” moments.
Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? I’d love to tour with one of my favourite bands—that would be a dream come true. Playing Download Festival is another huge goal for me. And touring the States is definitely on my bucket list; it’s something I’ve always wanted to do.
