Biografia dell'artista
Shooter Jennings is about as country as country gets, but that’s never stopped him from indulging his wildest musical whims. Born Waylon Albright Jennings to outlaw pioneers Jessi Colter and Waylon Jennings in Nashville in 1979, Shooter was steeped in the music life from day one, and in 2001 made his way to L.A. to start the hard-rock band Stargunn. But country still pulled hard at his heart, and in 2005, he released Put the O Back In Country, a rowdy collection of Southern rock that foregrounded Jennings’ gritty vocals on tracks like “4th of July.” While he stayed on that path for 2006’s Electric Rodeo and 2007’s The Wolf (which features his twanged-up cover of Dire Straits’ “Walk of Life”), he’s also swerved to conceptual rock (2010’s Black Ribbons), spacey disco (the 2016 Moroder tribute Countach (for Giorgio)), and rousing synth-rock (2022’s ‘80s-indebted Yelawolf collab Sometimes Y).
