Portlandās STRFKR is a shapeshifting indie dance-pop outfit that has been joyfully bucking convention for more than a decade.
ā STRFKR began in 2007 as Starf**ker, the solo project of frontman Josh Hodges, who selected the moniker as an ironic response to the idea of pursuing fame at all costs.
ā āRawnald Gregory Erickson the Second,ā a song from the groupās self-titled 2008 debut, provided their first taste of success when it appeared in a national ad campaign for a big-box retail chain.
ā The bandās third LP, 2013ās Miracle Mile, made the Billboard 200, and its 2016 follow-up, Being No One, Going Nowhere, hit No. 1 on the Heatseekers Albums chart.
