Biografia dell'artista
The Duprees, a vocal group from New Jersey, were one of the most pop sounding of the Italian-American groups in abundance during the late-1950s and early-'60s. They specialized in recording updated versions of old pop hits in a smooth style with a slight rock ‘n’ roll feel; notably, their biggest hit came with a 1962 remake of the old Jo Stafford standard, "You Belong To Me," a #7 U.S. hit. Other top 40 hits included "My Own True Love" (a vocal version of "Tara’s Theme" from GONE WITH THE WIND), and "Have You Heard." The group’s last major recording came in the unlikely form of "Delicious," a disco track cut in 1975 for RCA Records, a full decade after the group's final charter.
