In the artist’s words:
Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. I remember the upright piano at Grandma's house got a lot of use. One day, probably when I was three, I sat down and started pushing the keys and loving how loud and interesting it sounded. Grandma let me sit there and play until I got bored.
What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Andrew W.K., I Get Wet Devin Townsend, Ocean Machine Uncle Acid & The Deadbeats, Blood Lust I wanted to put Vol. 1 here but couldn't find it... Anyway, all three of these share something in common: they were all solo projects, done with whatever scant resources were available , and all of them inspired me to try this music thing myself.
Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Mindbreak” Mindbreak was a tipping point for me... I almost cut it from the album. It was the point where I let the facade down a little and showed a little bit of my trauma. And the catharsis and closure it's given me is beautiful.
What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? Filming with the BCIT Film and TV Production program. The team was amazing, they made us feel welcome and did a phenomenal job of making us look and sound good. It cast the whole project in a new light for me, seeing is through someone else's lens.
Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? We've got a long way to go. A festival show would be fun. A tour would be amazing. We'd love to open for one of our influences someday... I think that would be the point that we'd go, "Okay, we've really done it".
