In the artist’s words:
Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. I am perhaps best known for being "The Cellist" in gloomy underachieving 90s brit-indie band The Auteurs but my first recordings were released under the name The Magus Project. These Belgian-style rave tunes were created with DnB legend Bryan Gee.
What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Portishead, Dummy Stevie Wonder, Innervisions Remastered The Human League, Dare Dare is my 'growing up in Sheffield in the 80s' record. The glamour and excitement of the music was in stark contrast to the industrial decline apparent all around. It wasn't all gloom though - in the distance was the beautiful Peak District.

Bryan Gee)” I distinctly remember Bryan Gee coming over to my tiny flat in Putney and us working on this together - me sampling various records he was currently playing out, and Bryan sequencing some drums on my Alesis sequencer.
