Chi è Ayah Marar
Known as "the queen of bass," Ayah Marar has been a fixture of the U.K. bass and electronic music scenes since the late 1990s. The DJ, MC, singer, and songwriter got her start in the underground, working in record stores and organizing and promoting raves. She made her debut on 2003's Loxy & Ink collaboration "Dance Child," then co-wrote and/or appeared on tracks by DJ Fresh, Toddla T, Jack Peñate, and Calvin Harris, singing on the latter's global 2013 hit "Thinking About You." During this time, Marar released her debut album The Real (2012) and held down a four-year DJ residency at London's famed club Herbal. Later in the 2010s and into the 2020s, she burnished her bass music legacy with live sets and tracks including 2025's Charlotte Devaney collaboration "Last Night."
