A scrappy, dance-oriented English duo, the Ting Tings initially garnered fans with their infectious blend of synthy, punk-influenced pop and have continued to evolve, weaving electronic and folk and elements into their sound. They emerged to success, topping the U.K. Albums chart with 2008's We Started Nothing and getting international buzz with singles like "That's Not My Name" and "Shut Up and Let Me Go," taking home an Ivor Novello Award and Grammy nomination for Best New Artist in the process. They again reached the U.K. Top 30 with 2012's Sounds from Nowheresville, followed by 2014's Super Critical. Emerging from long creative hiatuses, the Ting Tings have defied expectations, embracing ever more nuanced sounds, including electronic drum'n'bass on 2018's The Black Light and breezy, Fleetwood Mac-esque adult-contemporary pop on 2025's Home.
