In the artist’s words:
Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. I used to make songs as an 11-year-old with my cello and a Casio keyboard and 2 boom boxes. I would play one part and record it. I would then perform another part with the recording and another instrument. I didn't know 4-track machines existed yet.
What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Nine Inch Nails, The Downward Spiral Explicit Version The Smashing Pumpkins, Mellon Collie And The Infinite Sadness (2012 Remastered) The Virgo Vertigo, Tory World, Diaries of a Nihilist (Singles Version) The Smashing Pumpkins and Nine Inch Nails have influenced my approach to crafting sound. However, I would say early Alternative and New Wave singles from my childhood have had a huge impact on my sound. And I added my album because I work out to it.
Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Angry World” I love this song and I'm glad I did it as a single. I also like performing it as an opener live too. I think what makes it special is it really showcases my range.
What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? Hearing my music on the radio for the first time in 1999 or so was pretty cool. I learned a lot about how radio changes sound. I also remember feeling "weird" as my song, "Mechanical Things" won a round on local radio show.
Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? I would actually like to play Summerfest with a full live band someday. I am also planning to do a tour with my own music.
