Boston's Lori McKenna has carved out an enviable niche for herself as one of Nashville's most in-demand songwriters while maintaining a prolific and remarkably consistent career as a solo artist. Her own albums trend toward warmly introspective folk and Americana music, though she has also penned major country hits including Tim McGraw's "Humble and Kind" and Little Big Town's "Girl Crush." Starting with 2016's The Bird & the Rifle, she began a three-album collaboration with producer Dave Cobb that resulted in her first Grammy nomination for one of her own albums. After releasing 2020's The Balladeer, McKenna shifted her focus to a series of EPs and collaborative singles.
