Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail.
I started making music at home with my parents at 11. Blues, rock and Spanish and Italian pop shaped me: Carlos Santana, Maná, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Gary Moore, Steve Lukather, Toto, Pink Floyd, Eros Ramazzotti and Nek.
What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular?
Maná, MTV Unplugged: Maná Live
Pink Floyd, The Dark Side of the Moon Remastered
Toto, Toto IV
I grew up with these albums, especially Maná’s MTV Unplugged, which I’ve loved since childhood. Their songwriting, musicianship and innovative sound shaped my ear, and Maná’s song choices and arrangements still stand out to me.

“Mi Niña”
I wrote “Mi Niña” for my beloved cousin, who passed away at 23. My first single in the United States, it opened doors and marked the beginning of my career here. I’ll always have a deeply personal connection to this song.
What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far?
Releasing my debut album and recording 05-08-1990 fulfilled two dreams. In an era of overproduction, I chose musicians playing live, like the records I grew up loving. About ten hours, no fixes: exactly what happened in that room.
Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band?
I never stop dreaming or chasing new milestones. My next goals are my first mainstream hit and a crossover album blending Spanish and English. I’m working toward that vision with new music planned for 2027.
