It didnāt take long for rock kapak aficionados to recognise that KL-based Wings were truly something special. With a potent blend of hard-rocking hooks, cerebral lyrics and a boisterous stage presenceāled by the indefatigable Awieātheir 1988 debut Belenggu Irama became the first of a long list of multi-platinum records. Three decades on, Wings are rock royalty.
