One of the most commercially successful metal bands in the Netherlands, Within Temptation has had 9 consecutive Top 5 albums on the Dutch charts and sold millions of records worldwide.
ā Founding partners Robert Westerholt and Sharon den Adel originally started the band in 1996 under the name The Portal.
