Rooted in the principles of D.I.Y., Wolverines are an abrasive punk/hardcore duo based out of Greensboro and Raleigh, NC, and made up of friends Brandon Smith (drums) and Victor Devlin (guitar), who both contribute to the raw and chaotic vocal assault. A three-song demo appeared in 2005, and following a compilation appearance the next year, Wolverines split an album with their indie pop buddies the Sibling Project, which was self-released in August 2006. They played out various shows around the state, all while writing and readying their debut full-length. Genosha was eventually issued in mid-2007 via New York-based Playground Politics Records. That April, Wolverines also surfaced on a split 7" with Greensboro's the Breathing. ~ Corey Apar
