Mongolian-born Sa Ding Ding paints a world of emotions in her folk-infused music, perhaps a skill attributable to her nomadic heritage. But as many fans will attest, it's Sa's careful treatment of tradition and art that helps bring to life a range of feelings in such masterful fashion. The debut album Alive introduced Sa as an Asian act bold enough to incorporate electronic elements amid the sound of traditional instruments such as guzheng and tanggu.
