As the proudly lowbrow character Larry the Cable Guy, comedian and actor Daniel Whitney has vaulted from the comedy club circuit to mainstream stardom through animated features, TV series, and albums. Whitney built a devoted following on the radio with Larry's cornpone aphorisms, which led to national exposure as part of the Blue Collar Comedy Tour. His uncensored, satirical views on sex, race, and his own family proved extremely popular with mass audiences, which in turn brought him to Pixar to provide a voice for its Cars film franchise.
