Son of the legendary Shivkumar Sharma, Rahul Sharma started learning the santoor at the age of 13, and by the age of 24 he decided to follow a career in classical music and started accompanying his father on world tours. Under the guidance of his father, Rahul mastered the santoor and experimented further by fusing it with Western sounds and instruments, leading to exciting collaborations with international artists far beyond the embrace of classical music.
