Formed by brothers Vic and Mike Fuentes, San Diego's Pierce the Veil gradually rose up the post-hardcore ranks thanks to a heavy, progressive sound and high-energy live shows. After releasing their 2007 debut, A Flair For the Dramatic, the duo expanded to a quartet, embarking on an extensive tour that included opening slots for A Day to Remember, The Devil Wears Prada, and All Time Low. 2010's Selfish Machines and spots on the Warped and Take Action Tours further boosted their profile, resulting in a Top 20 peak for 2012's Collide With the Sky.
