Back in the golden era, Masta Ace came off like the book-smart member of the mighty Juice Crew. After batting first on the clique's classic posse cut "The Symphony," the Brooklyn-born Ace went on to drop his worldly debut, Take A Look Around, in 1990. After that project, he embraced a series of concept albums, with the satirical SlaughtaHouse followed by the car culture-influenced Sittin' on Chrome. As the aughts kicked into play, Ace continued to release projects that underscored his status as one of the smartest emcees to ever do it.
