The Spice Girls were a bona fide British pop culture institution. Formed in 1994, the group consisted of Melanie Brown (Scary Spice), Melanie Chisholm (Sporty Spice), Emma Bunton (Baby Spice), Geri Halliwell (Ginger Spice), and Victoria Beckham (Posh Spice). The five hit the big time with their debut LP, Spice, and continued their chart-topping success with their second album Spiceworld, which also served as a soundtrack to the film of the same name.
