Founded on May 8, 2012, by music executive and producer Don Jazzy, Mavin Records emerged from the creative foundation of Mo’Hits Records to become Africa’s foremost music entertainment company. The label has since been central to the global rise of Afrobeats—developing the artists, infrastructure, and business architecture that have carried African music from Lagos to the world’s biggest stages.
Mavin’s roster has defined the sound of a generation. Rema and Ayra Starr are global trailblazers, Johnny Drille and Ladipoe are genre-shaping storytellers, and a new wave—Magixx, Boy Spyce, Bayanni, CupidSZN, and Lovn—continues to push the label’s creative boundaries.
