Coming from making music in the basement

I'm trying to get past the attic

Can't stand backwards on STAiRS

Destination's there

But better not turn your back at it

I'll never quit, I'm a go-getter

You should be too, cause we'll never stop getting back at it

I grew attached to the Lord now He's all that I think about

I think I may be an addict

I knew my God would be making a move from my birth and beyond that one freestyle to "Static"

Never diminish a dream til it's finished, met Zion Ali, now I'm rapping emphatic, bro

I never slow

Shoot for the stars, and aim with a bow

Move with a row, now I got a boat

I don't swim anymore, now we know

Staircase, order in the court

Step to the only judge, don't need your vote

Jesus Christ is the goat

No wonder there's 23 paired chromosomes and I know

Any circumstance, we're in good hands

Everyone understand

God is Allstate and that's all He wrote

Coming from making music in the basement

I'm trying to get past the attic

Can't stand backwards on STAiRS

Destination's there

But better not turn your back at it

Don't turn your back at it, my back, He been had it

I'm like a big rabbit, jump to the gates

Killing the king with it, my side, He been with it

My story ain't finished, all by His grace

Like woah

Who trynna get to the king (me)

My God reigns supreme, Him first

Romans 1:16, real verse

Trynna see honey, rivers

I be Missy, flip reverse

Esrever plif, yssiM eb I

I give all my praise to Yah

I wanna look to the sky at what God is making

Not at satan's stupid salty bacon

We breaking and busting the chains we been captivated in

But Christ as our captain we're saved in the

Almighty name of His, now we live

Forever that's the bizz, get the gist

All we need, got the keys

That's the buzz, God is love

I'm DMiC, will be, am, and was

Coming from making music in the basement

I'm trying to get past the attic

Can't stand backwards on STAiRS

Destination's there

But better not turn your back at it

Don't need elevators

Turn away from Satan

I'll be taking the stairs

Through muddy waters wading

For God I'll be patient

Admiration, I stare

Staring contest keep your eyes on the prize but don't idolize

Because idol eyes start staring at anything

But the stairs to the king might have to watch your demise

Oh my gosh, calm down DMiC

Not trying to scare you, I wanna prepare you

We do this with teamwork cause it makes the, you get it

Turbo speed back Home to Heaven, now you with it

We did it, it's finished, keeping it

100 He would leave in a blink

If He spot the one that He needs for the team

A fight with the flesh, gotta call on the King

Engage with Christ, take a step in the ring, STAiRS
