The 50 Cent-helmed G-Unit squad managed to find a new, tuned-up aggressiveness on their second album. Here, 50 himself takes a backseat and lets Lloyd Banks and Tony Yayo steal the show, with the latter spitting rapid-fire punchlines over an ominous strobing synth on the LP’s title track. Banks delivers best on songs like “Casualties of War,” where his cracking yet still spot-on delivery blends with a haunting mix of strings and keys.
