An emotional roller-coaster deserves an emotional soundtrack. Thanks to Hesham Abdul Wahab, Hi Nanna is backed by a sweeping collection of tracks that elevates the romantic tale with aplomb. The composer-singer, working on only his second Telugu film music project, focuses on atmospheric string arrangements and production on songs like the graceful “Gaaju Bomma” and “Needhe Needhe”. But he doesn’t shy away from upbeat rhythms, either—the electronic pop vibe that permeates “Asalelaa” is enhanced by Anurag Kulkarni and Shakthisree Gopalan’s vocals, while “Odiyamma” brings the party mood.
