Alas Sobre el Mundo
アルバム · Electronic · 1982
As pioneers of techno-pop in Spain, El Aviador Dro y sus obreros especializados offered a pure avant-garde ethos for an energetic scene whose development would be inconceivable without their groundbreaking presence. Their debut fused an amalgam of influences ranging from Kraftwerk and Devo’s electronic pop to the novels of Isaac Asimov, and saw the light shortly after the abrupt dissolution of the band's original line-up (whom would later form Esplendor Geométrico). After being rejected by Movieplay—the label that released singles “La Chica De Plexiglás” and “La Vision”—Servando Carballar aka Biovac N and his bandmates founded their own record label, DRO (Discos Radioactivos Organizados). In addition to releasing Alas Sobre el Mundo, DRO issued essential works from bands like Gabinete Caligari, Siniestro Total, Nacha Pop and Alphaville.
