In the artist’s words:
Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. Growing up there was always music playing throughout the house. I used to take my dad's records and practice scratching on our system. The warm sound of vinyl resonated with me and I felt connected to music from before my time. This inspired my name.
What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Ghostface Killah, Supreme Clientele Killah Priest, Heavy Mental Pretty Lights, Filling Up the City Skies, Vol. 1 First off, Heavy Mental is the GOAT hip-hop album. I'm a lifelong Wu-Tang fan and Ghostface is my favorite MC so Supreme Clientele has always been in my top albums. Pretty Lights changed my perception of what music can be and where it can go.
Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Deep Water Jive” I spent a lot of time designing the synth sounds for this song, that mixed with classic funk and Hip-Hop samples has made this song a fan favorite.
What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? It's hard to pick one moment. I enjoy getting to travel to new places and connect with people over my music.
Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? There's a handful of live venues that I want to play one day. Red Rocks, The Greek, Printworks London.
