In the artist’s words:
Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. Third Eye Blind was my first concert @ Sunken Gardens in Texas. It was a rough time in my life and that day will always be memorable as it distracted me from the crap at home.
What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Chunk! No, Captain Chunk!, Gone Are The Good Days Knuckle Puck, Copacetic New Found Glory, Sticks and Stones Many of these songs remind me of the angst of my teenage years and what I did to push through the difficult times and how much even today that I need to change. Change never stops. Plus these songs have intense energy and catchiness!!
Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “Elation Atrophy” This is the first single off my debut LP. It speaks of the moment I hit rock bottom and realized the people I surrounded myself with were fair weather friends that only brought me down. It’s the beginning of the new me.
What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? I think hearing myself on the radio for the first time really struck me. It was a local hour in San Diego on 91X but it was something else to have people call and text me saying I’m on the radio. It was pretty tight!
Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? Id love to be able to play some larger festivals and reach a larger crowd and try to help them through my music. It’s hard to pull out of toxic environments but with a strong will and gods help you can do it. That’s what I put in my music.
