Álvaro Díazについて
Álvaro Díaz got into hip-hop after he heard Eminem in 8 Mile and began ghostwriting rhymes.
∙ He credits a cousin who passed along DJ Whoo Kid’s G-Unit Radio mixtapes for deepening his love of hip-hop.
∙ While working at a San Juan streetwear store, Díaz discovered something in a box of clothes that would become a massive influence: Kid Cudi’s mixtape A Kid Named Cudi.
∙ Formula 1 driver Ayrton Senna’s unorthodox, unrelenting style was the inspiration for Diaz’s iTunes Latino chart-topper, San Juan Grand Prix, on which each song serves as a lap in life.
∙ Díaz collaborated with producer Luny Tunes for “Tortura China” in 2016, and he teamed up with reggaetón superstar Yandel in 2020 for “Lo Que Te Duele.”
∙ He and his friends formed the LV CIUDVD collective, an independent group of rappers, producers, video directors, and designers.
