Contento are a self-described "salsapunk" duo comprised of expatriate Colombian producers. Their sound weds Latin house music, EDM, and lo-fi to the influences of vintage Nuyorican boogaloo and salsa, rootsy Colombian and Argentinian cumbia, Puerto Rican bomba, Afro-Cuban son montuno, and West African Afrobeat. Their debut long-player Lo Bueno Está Aquí showcased sampling and beat construction alongside live musicians: Their M.O.: "The sound comes from what we have on hand in order to make the music."
