Group. Excellent mainstream band led by Slide Hampton that unfortunately didn't remain intact, working unit very long. But their '82 tribute LP to Tadd Dameron was exquisite. They were superior to another group with same name that made '85 session. This was keyboard/guitar/bass/drum unit that did more introspective, less animated material. ~ Ron Wynn
