Cradle of Filthについて
The extreme metal band Cradle of Filth defy categorization. Cofounded in Suffolk, England, in 1991 by vocalist Dani Filth, the band unleashed ferocious black metal on their 1994 debut, The Principle of Evil Made Flesh, and featured dramatic female vocals starting with 1996’s V empire Or Dark Faerytales in Phallustein. However, the group expanded their sound to include gothic rock darkness and symphonic flourishes, in particular on 1996’s Dusk & Her Embrace and the high-profile 2003 release Damnation and a Day, while continuing to push themselves creatively through multiple lineup changes. In 2012, Cradle of Filth both dabbled in orchestral re-recordings (Midnight in the Labyrinth) and took inspiration from ferocious punk (The Manticore and Other Horrors). Ever adventurous, Dani Filth appeared on Bring Me The Horizon’s 2019 pop-rock song “wonderful life” and steered the 2021 metal opus Existence Is Futile.
