Electronic duo DarkDARK are known for their atmospheric, synthy pop that combines evocative retro '70s and '80s elements with chillwave and other modern production styles. They first grabbed fans with their 2017 debut EP, Heathered.
Formed in 2016, DarkDARK features Los Angeles-based producer/songwriter Genevieve Vincent and Austin-based producer/songwriter Chris James. The pair were introduced by mutual friends via email and began working on tracks together. In 2017, they released their debut EP, Heathered, which included the track "Restless" featuring vocalist Haley Bonar. They returned in July 2020 with a second EP, We Forget When We're Apart, which featured final mixing by Andrew Maury (Lizzo, Kimbra, Post Malone). Included on the album was the spotlight track "In Two." ~ Matt Collar
