In the artist’s words:
Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. One of my earliest musical memories is playing Sega rhythms on spoons and plates in front of my uncle. I was just a kid, but he told me I had great rhythm and timing, which gave me so much confidence. That moment stuck with me.
What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Gipsy Kings, Gipsy Kings Jungle, Jungle Michael Brook, Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan, Night Song (Real World Gold) My top 3 albums are Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan & Michael Brook's Night Song—it feels spiritual and grounding, Jungle's debut for its old-school charm with a twist, and Gipsy Kings for their emotion beyond words. All three feel timeless and never get old.
What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? One of the most memorable moments in my career was headlining a festival with Burudu back in Mauritius, where I was born. Performing in front of a home crowd on that island made it feel even more special and deeply personal.
Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? There's always more to explore. My bucket list has always been to collaborate and learn through that journey while having the best time doing it. I'm very much in the now, so what’s left is the amazing people I'll get to do that with in the future.
