In the artist’s words:
Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. I remember 1996 being the year I bought my first hip hop albums with my own money. I purchased Nas' "It Was Written" and Jay z's "Reasonable Doubt". It's not an accident that 1996 was also the year I wrote my first rhyme.
What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Nas, Illmatic To me, this is hip hop at its apex. A cohesive body of work, encompassing all the great attributes of a classic hip hop album. Storytelling, lyrical dexterity, break beats, soul samples, and a young man's hope in the midst of despair.
