Supergroup DREAMCAR made their surprise debut in 2017 with the release of "Kill for Candy." Drenched in the sleek sounds of '80s synth pop and new wave, Dreamcar's vision veered closer to AFI vocalist Davey Havok's work on his other side project, Blaqk Audio, while committing to the flirtations that bassist Tony Kanal, guitarist Tom Dumont, and drummer Adrian Young made on No Doubt tracks like their Talk Talk cover "It's My Life," or standout selections from 2012's Push and Shove like "Looking Hot" and "Heaven." The guys met up in 2014 to gauge interest in the new project. After working in secret with producer Tim Pagnotta (Neon Trees, Walk the Moon) of Sugarcult, DREAMCAR released their debut in 2017. ~ Neil Z. Yeung
