Eastlink are an underground rock supergroup from Australia who deliver a wild, punishing attack with four guitars, a drum kit, and few musical boundaries. Named for an infamous section of freeway near Melbourne that had a ruinous environmental impact on the Mullum Mullum Valley and is riddled with poorly executed public art, Eastlink were formed by Al Montfort of UV Race, Total Control, and Straightjacket Nation, who was eager to play loud, minimal rock & roll with his friends Zephyr Pavey (who also plays in Total Control as well as Strength Within) and Johan Rashid (of Home Travel and Promised Land). In May 2014, ITR issued Eastlink's first full-length album, simply titled Eastlink. ~ Mark Deming
