FaltyDL is the main alias of Drew Lustman, a Brooklyn-based producer whose sound palette includes IDM, drum'n'bass, garage, broken beat, dubstep, and many other styles. Full of abrupt changes and rush-inducing qualities, the majority of his tracks are intended for dancefloors, and he isn't averse to writing off-kilter pop songs, either. Lustman released his first tracks in 2007 and made his full-length debut with Love Is a Liability (2009). After a second album for Planet Mu, Lustman moved to Ninja Tune for another pair of increasingly expansive LPs, then issued his next two through his own Blueberry Records. Having become an inspiration himself, Lustman was a natural fit on the generally younger roster of Central Processing Unit, where he released In the Wake of Wolves (2024). He followed that display of whimsical beat wizardry with the ecstatic Neurotica (2025) for Planet Mu.
