In the artist’s words:
Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. My earliest musical memory is laying underneath the keyboard as a child while my father wrote music. He always played with headphones on, so I faintly heard the piano along with the clicking of keys. This was my first introduction to music.
What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Dashboard Confessional, The Places You Have Come to Fear the Most Donovan Woods, Both Ways Intervals, The Shape of Colour These albums represent different phases in my musical journey. TPYHCTFTM originally inspired me to write singer/songwriter music. Both Ways shaped the sound of my latest EP. Intervals introduced me to progressive rock, which I also write.
Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “October” The song October is about my son, Eddie. It was written during my wife's pregnancy and describes the journey of trying to conceive, learning the news that a baby is on the way, telling your family and friends, and looking forward to being a father.
What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? Many years ago I was able to grab a last minute spot at a gig. I needed to assemble a band quickly, so I asked a few close friends and family to join me. One of which was my father who played bass that night. I'll always remember that experience.
Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? Yes. I would like to perform a song live with my son one day. He is still very young, but already shows a love for music.
