In the artist’s words:
Describe one of your earliest musical memories in detail. My first time actually rapping was when I was 8 years old, memorizing "Regulators" by Warren G and Nate Dogg. I'd practice in my room and at night be on trucker walkie talkies with my next door neighbor reciting the verses.
What are your top 3 all-time favorite albums on Apple Music, and why? Why did you choose these three albums in particular? Gabino Grhymes, Darvey Hent Little Brother, The Minstrel Show I learned about Little Brother a few years after I started making music. "The Minstrel Show" opened my eyes to song making and being myself rather than pandering to what the top 40 asks for. Darvey Hent was my 15 year process to show my progression.
Find a song of yours on Apple Music that you love and tell us what makes it special. Tell us why you chose this song. “D.K.M.” This song was made for me and my inner reflection. It was written during a tumultuous time while I was over-drinking. The hook is, "you don't know what I have gone through, so don't tell me how I should be living, I got me." was my plea for grace.
What’s one of the most memorable moments in your career so far? Opening up for Bone Thugs-n-Harmony in 2010. We rehearsed hard, and it showed in our performance. The funny piece, though, I was so nervous. So much so, that after announcing the team, I ran off stage to puke, ran back on and rapped my ass off!
Is there anything left on your bucket list as an artist or band? Having an opportunity to showcase my music to a label, in person to show my energy and passion for the art. I also want to go on a major tour, over 10 cities. I have toured in the past but not on that large of scale.
