London singer/songwriter George Riley stirs pop, R&B, and electronica into a sensuous, chart-friendly blend. Riley grew up listening to soul, funk, Afrobeat, two-step garage, '90s and 2000s pop and R&B, and rap; in her teens she immersed herself in London's music scene. She studied politics & philosophy at university (later changing to law) before beginning to write and record her own tracks with the help of producer Oliver Palfreyman. After a few self-released singles, her first full-length project was 2021's Interest Rates: A Tape. That year Manchester DJ Anz tapped her to be featured on his track "You Could Be." For 2022's Running in Waves EP, Riley switched producers, working exclusively with Vegyn. The 2023 EP Un/Limited Love was her debut for Ninja Tune and saw narcotic synth washes and sultry, sensuous vocals rub up against club-ready house beats. A new double-A-side single, "Slow"/"Unconditional," appeared in 2025.
